Toy Drive Benefiting Los Angeles House of Ruth
Last holiday season, Rolling With Dads brought the community of DTLA together for a heartwarming toy drive to support families at Los Angeles House of Ruth, a shelter dedicated to helping women and children escape domestic violence. Through generous donations of toys and books, we helped brighten the holidays for those who need it most. This event showcased the power of compassion, reminding us all of the impact we can have when we come together to uplift others.
What We Did
We hosted a holiday toy drive to support the families living at House of Ruth LA, a shelter that helps women and children heal from domestic violence. Our goal was to bring a little joy and comfort to families during a difficult time of year.
How It Came Together
We partnered with local businesses—Orangetheory Fitness DTLA, The Tooth Shop, The Art Room, Blaqhause, and Bangin’ Buns—to collect toys and books. With donation drop-off points set up across the city, our community came together to ensure every child at the shelter received something special.
The Impact
Thanks to our community’s generosity, over 55 toys and books were donated! Families felt the warmth of support, and kids got to experience a joyful, love-filled holiday—many for the first time in a long time.
Why It Matters
This drive wasn’t just about gifts—it was about showing up for families who deserve to feel seen, safe, and celebrated. It reminded us all how powerful we are when we come together with purpose and heart.
